Sharpie Art Yarn

Over The Rainbow Yarn
Tuesdays are for trying something new!
This Tuesday, we’ll teach you how to use colorful Sharpies and plain-old rubbing alcohol to dye your yarn. The results are surprisingly beautiful! You’ll just need to bring a hank of yarn in a white or pale natural color. Since the fibers will get a bit roughed up by the sharpie tips, we recommend a plied yarn in wool and/or acrylic like Cascade 220 or Berroco Vintage.
After you go home, you’ll just have to set the color with a little vinegar soak, a good rinse and added heat.
- Sharpies or other permanent markers in a variety of colors
- Undyed or pale-colored hank of yarn
- Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle (we will have some available for your use)
- No experience required!
Note: When you register online, we will reserve a spot for you. You may pay in-store on the day of class or any time prior.
Bookings are closed for this event.
