Over The Rainbow Yarn
Nuno felting is a technique that embeds roving fibers into a woven fabric. Using the thinnest of silks and wisps of wool, you can create a supple, light and cozy neck warmer that is also a unique piece of wearable art. Nuno Felting is a wet technique, so we will be working outdoors. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet.
Materials: 8mm Habotai Silk scarf 36″ x 9″, Approximately 2 oz (56 gm) fine wool
Optional: Wool, yarn, fabric scraps, or other embellishments
All silk, roving and a wide array of embellishments will be available for an additional $25 materials fee.
All felting equipment will be available for borrowing during class time. We’ll give you a list during class, so you can gather materials to keep felting at home.
Bookings are closed for this event.
