Knitting With Beads

Over The Rainbow Yarn

Beads can make our knitwear so bright and shiny, so pretty and special.  But how do you get the little suckers in there?

Well, there are a number of techniques, and we’re going to cover them all.  From pre-stringing, through single placement to after-thought, we’ll make a small project that incorporates all three methods.

Class is limited to 10 participants so everyone can get the attention they deserve.

1 skein fingering/sock weight yarn

US Size 2 needles

Tapestry needle

* Steel crochet hook in size to go through beads

* Dental floss threader

* Piano wire or guitar E string

* Approximately 20 oz. #6 seed beads

We will have materials marked with an asterisk (*) available in kit form for an additional materials fee of $15.  Or you may gather these items on your own.  Please note that bead colors in the kits will be limited to a very few neutrals colors.
