Knitting With Beads
Date(s) - Sat, June 11, 2016
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Over The Rainbow Yarn
Beads can make our knitwear so bright and shiny, so pretty and special. There are a number of techniques for adding beads to your knitting, and we’re going to cover them all. From pre-stringing, through single placement to after-thought, we’ll make a small project that incorporates all three methods.
Class is limited to 10 participants so everyone can get the attention they deserve.
Prerequisites: Knit, Purl, Cast On, Bind Off
1 skein fingering/sock weight yarn
US Size 2 needles
* Steel crochet hook in size to go through beads
* Dental floss threader
* Piano wire or guitar E string
* Approximately 20 oz. #6 seed beads
We will have materials marked with an asterisk (*) available in kit form for an additional materials fee of $15. Or you may gather these items on your own. Please note that bead colors in the kits will be limited to a very few neutrals colors.
