Knitter’s Toolbox; Building In Color: Intarsia and Double-Ended Knitting
Date(s) - Sat, July 18, 2015
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Over The Rainbow Yarn
The last Saturday of each month is still devoted to skill building. Using Michelle Hunter’s book, Building Blocks, we spent the first 6 months of 2015 learning about and building skills with textures.
Now we’re ready to move on to spend the next 6 months doing the same with color, using Michelle Hunter’s second book, Building With Color, as our guide.
There are 10 color work panels covered in the book, so we’ll cover the techniques for two panels per month from July through October. We’ll cover 1 panels per month in November and December. When you’ve finished, you have all the makings of a beautiful colorwork throw.
July’s class will cover Panel #1 – Intarsia, and Panel #2 – Double Ended Knitting
August’s Class will cover Panel #3 – Short Rows, and Panel #4 – Knit Below
September’s class will cover Panel #5 – Make One Purl, and Panel #6 – Elongated Stitch
October’s class will cover Panel #7 – Mosaic, and Panel #8 – Butterfly Stitch
November’s class will cover Panel #9 – Intarsia Cable, and washing and blocking
December’s class will cover Panel #10 – Tuck Stitch, and seaming
Each class is 25$ and you can buy your books at Over The Rainbow Yarn. Or, if you register for the entire six month Building In Color series, the fee will be $150 and we’ll give you the book. After the August class, the series offer will no longer be available, but you are still welcome to attend any class you are interested in.
Class will be limited to 10 so you can get the attention you deserve
