This March we’re continuing our mission to set aside Tuesdays for trying something new!

Couching is an embellishment technique that involves sewing yarn onto fabric. It can be any sort of fabric – knit, crocheted, or woven. It’s a great way to make your work a little more special and use up little bits of leftover yarn. It’s also an opportunity to get creative with swirls, stripes or other decorative designs.

Prerequisites: No experience required!

Materials: An object to embellish (like a purse, a shirt, a hat, mittens or any piece of fabric), scraps of yarn, a darning needle

Cost: $25
