Over The Rainbow Yarn

BuildingInColor_CoverThe Skill Building Adventure continues with Building in Color, the counter-part to Building Blocks, in which we learned techniques for knitting with textures. This time, we’ll learn 10 color work techniques in a series of six classes, using Michelle Hunter’s second book, Building With Color, as our guide. In the final class, we’ll cover techniques for seaming, finishing, washing and blocking.

If you use all 10 color work techniques to create panels, you’ll be able to stitch them together into a beautiful color work throw blanket!

If you missed out on the Building Blocks (textures) series in the first half of the year, you’re in luck! We’re repeating the entire series at the same time as Building in Color. If you’re a complete beginner, Building Blocks is the class for you. Click Here to Read More + Sign Up for Building Blocks.

Building Blocks is not a prerequisite for Building in Color, but you will be expected to know basic knitting techniques including knit, purl, cast on and bind off.

These classes can be taken as a series, or you may take individual classes for particular techniques of interest!
