Brioche Knitting: 2 Colors in 1 Pass
Date(s) - Sat, January 21, 2017

Over The Rainbow Yarn
This January, we will help you bundle up and stay warm with classes on thrummed mittens and mega-fluffy brioche scarves!
Brioche knitting is a technique that creates a fabric as light and fluffy as the delectable French bread of the same name. Super-sized knits are in style this season, eminently cozy and incomparably quick to work up. We’re combining the two to help you create the warmest, loftiest scarf you’ve ever worn.
Last week, we covered the basic one-color brioche knitting technique using Berroco Macro, the biggest super-bulky yarn on our shelves. This week, we’ll teach you to knit two-color brioche in one pass instead of the usual two!
In this class, you’ll have two options:
- If you joined us for last week’s class, you can bring your half-complete simple brioche scarf, and you’ll be able to transition your scarf from a one-color section to a two-color section for a color-blocked look.
- If you already know how to do one-color brioche, then you can begin your Macro Scarf this week with two-color brioche!
Knitting in super-bulky yarn on size 35 needles is so quick you should be able to complete a scarf in a matter of hours once you get the hang of it.
- Materials: Super Bulky-Weight Yarn, US 35 Straight or Circular Needles
- Prerequisites: Experience with Basic One-Color Brioche
- Cost: $25
Note: If you sign up for this class online, we will reserve a spot for you and you may pay in person when you arrive.
