Over The Rainbow Yarn
Welcome to our Tuesday evening Beginner Knitting series! In this class, we’ll talk about the most common mistakes that new knitters make, and we’ll teach you how to correct and avoid them. This is the class you should take if you’re comfortable casting on, forming a knit or a purl stitch, and binding off.
The specific beginner mistakes we’ll talk about include backwards stitch mount, accidental yarn overs, accidental short rows, and dropped stitches. We’ll address how these “mistakes” can be used intentionally, and how to fix and avoid them when they’re not intentional.
These skills will help you develop a deeper understanding of how knitting works and give you the confidence to tackle more complicated projects.
Prerequisites: Basic familiarity with knitting; no mastery required.
Materials: We’ll discuss materials in class, or we can help you pick materials prior to class, or you may bring any yarn and needles that you have.
Note: If you sign up online, we’ll reserve a spot for you, and you may pay when you arrive.
Join us for our other monthly classes for beginner knitters, on the first four Tuesdays of every month from 6–8pm:

- Week 2 – My First Hat or Cowl
