Basic Sculptural Needle Felting
Date(s) - Sun, February 19, 2017
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Over The Rainbow Yarn
We’re devoting Sundays in February to needle felting with instruction from Catherine, our resident Needle Felting Expert!
This Sunday, we’ll be doing basic sculptural needle felting (without an armature). We’ll start with balls of wool which will serve as a basic body for a doll or a little critter like a bird, a squirrel, a gnome or a toad. Then, we’ll embellish it by adding color and texture to the surface. All you need is wool roving and a little barbed needle. If you like, Catherine will also show you how to embed beads into the surface of your needle felting to look like eyes (as pictured).
Catherine will teach you about needle felting tools and techniques and offer any guidance that you need.
- Wool roving in one or more colors
- Needle felting needles
- Piece of foam, pillow, or rice bag for use as a felting surface
- No experience required!
Note: When you register for this class online, we will reserve a spot for you, and you may pay in-store on the day of the event or any time prior.
Bookings are closed for this event.
