Welcome to Over The Rainbow Yarn, where your fiber dreams come true. Located on School Street in the heart of downtown Rockland, we are constantly curating a collection of quality fiber and tools to support all fiber artists. From the most inexperienced beginner just making her first stitches, to the most accomplished knitter or crocheter working on her latest, most complicated creation, we have everything you need to bring your most cherished wooly vision into reality. Needles, hooks, patterns, books, and yarn, glorious yarn in lace weight, sport, DK and bulky, wool, alpaca, silk, blends, even cashmere! We stock a large range of yarn, tools, notions, books and patterns for hand knitters and crocheters and as well as roving for spinners and felters.
If there’s something you need to know, we also offer many opportunities for learning. With at least one, and sometime more, classes every week, there’s bound to be something just right for you. We are the home of the 5 Minute Learn To Knit Guarantee and the 15 minute Mini-Class. There are open help hours twice a week as well, where you can come in with any problem, question or issue and we can get you on track and back on your merry way. And with 3 open Stitch N Spin circles there’s plenty or casual social time. If you are a serious yarny, or even if you are a novice looking for a new fiber family, we’re your home away from home.
Come see us. We’re waiting to welcome and inspire you.
